MISSIONS

LOCAL MINISTRIES

Church For The ONR is dedicated to being active in the community through special partnerships with local ministries in Lakeland and surrounding areas. These partnerships include KidsPack, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the Dream Center, and supporting Foster Care Families.

KidsPack USA  is a nonprofit organization who is dedicated to improving the lives & opportunities of children. We partner with KidsPACK because we believe in loving kids the way Jesus would. We can show this practically through providing meals to those who go without while not in school.

Serving needs:

Delivery Drivers: Deliver pre-packaged meals from the church to the schools. (1-2 backup drivers, as needed).

Packing Nights: Assemble/pack meals in the Kids Factory, typically on the first Tuesday of the month at 6:30PM, from September through May.

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) believes in using the powerful medium of athletics to impact the world for Jesus Christ. FCA focuses on serving local communities by equipping, empowering and encouraging people to make a difference for Christ. We partner with FCA to make a positive impact that will lead to a life-long personal transformation of Middle School students in Polk County. HP Youth & HP Missions are currently on campus at Lakeland Highlands Middle School bi-weekly.

Serving needs: 10 people to serve bi-weekly or once a month on Wed. mornings.

Through community service, mentoring programs, community classes and more, the Dream Center hopes to offer Christ's genuine love to those we encounter. We partner with Dream Center of Lakeland to meet immediate needs & show love like Jesus would to others in our community.

Serving needs: 10 people weekly in seasons (12 weeks on, 12 weeks off), quarterly serve days, they can always use donations of clothing, toiletries & food items.

Blessings+and+Hope+Food+Pantry+Logo-08.png

Blessings & Hope Food Pantry is a friendly place where people in need of sustenance can come and be blessed by the volunteers, staff, and food they receive. Polk County is the second highest county in the United States for food insecurity and many residents lack consistent and easy access to safe, nutritionally adequate food. We partner with Blessings & Hope because we agree with their guiding principles of feeding everyone in need with compassion and without prejudice and acting with integrity to steward the resources entrusted to us.

Serving needs: 20 people weekly, every Tuesday to serve food, 8a-1p
