DAY 16
Ephesians 4: 1-6
As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all through all and in all.
THOUGHT
As we look at pursuing our calling to reach 1% of Lakeland, we must keep in mind that our calling will always involve effort and an action or movement on our part. God has placed us in our family, workplace, and neighborhood as we may be the only ones who can make a difference and reach these people. We are all in a position of influence to share the good news of Jesus with those we come in contact with on a daily basis.
ACTION
Be mindful of those who may be doubting, done with religion, or disengaged from faith.
Pray for God to give you the words to say and the actions to show his love.
Listen to the promptings of the Holy Spirit.
Make the decision to be the godly representative that Jesus has called you to be.
PRAYER
Father God, thank you for calling me to be a part of your work to bring people to a saving knowledge of you. Help me to live a life worthy of this calling. Use me to be a blessing and to bring hope to the people that you have placed in my life who are doubting, done, or disengaged from a life with you. As a part of this, give me the boldness to invite them to church. I ask all of this in Jesus' name. Amen.
