Notes

PLACES IN SCRIPTURE THAT GOD USED DISPLACEMENT FOR PURPOSE:
Old Testament Examples
- Abraham’s Journey: God called Abraham to leave his homeland in Ur to go to a land He would show him, which was essential for establishing His chosen nation.
- Joseph in Egypt: Joseph's displacement to Egypt, initially a result of his brothers' betrayal, was orchestrated by God to save many lives during a famine and preserve the family of Israel.
- The Israelites Exodus: The Israelites' displacement from slavery in Egypt and their journey to the Promised Land was a profound act of God's sovereign power to fulfill His covenant promises.
- Famine and Migration: Famines in the land of Canaan caused Abraham and later Isaac's household to move to Egypt for survival, a pattern of displacement orchestrated by God for greater purpose.

New Testament Examples
- Jesus and His Family in Egypt: After Jesus' birth, He and His parents were forced to flee to Egypt to escape King Herod's Massacre of the Innocents, making Jesus a refugee.
- Early Christians Scattering: Following the martyrdom of Stephen, the followers of Christ were scattered from Jerusalem throughout the Roman Empire, which allowed the Gospel to spread to new regions.
- Paul’s Exile: The Apostle Paul was displaced from his ministry and sent to a Roman prison, where he wrote his epistles and continued to spread the Gospel despite his confinement.
- John’s Exile to Patmos: The biblical account ends with John on the island of Patmos, where he is exiled but receives the visions recorded in the Book of Revelation, a powerful spiritual purpose for his displacement.

THINK: like an owner!
FEEL: free but pray hard!
