- 1 Kings 1:33 | Solomon riding a donkey to symbolize a peaceful transfer of power.
As you are sent into the work and world God has called you to...
May your response to God's call be filled with faith.
That your need to control would be under your control,
So that your would choose the path of humility,
because it is God who will raise you up.
Discussion Questions
1. What area of your life do you feel the strongest need to control, and what might it look like to trust God instead of holding on so tightly?
2. If Jesus asked for something valuable from you — like the donkey — with no explanation beyond “the Lord needs it,” how do you think you would respond?
3. Jesus didn’t enter the city with power on display, but with peace and humility. In what spaces of your life are you tempted to lead with authority instead of humility — and what might change if you "took the donkey"?
