You’ve taken an incredible step in following Jesus through baptism, and that’s just the beginning.

 

At Church for the ONE, we believe spiritual growth happens through simple, consistent rhythms we call the 5 Things First: Chair, Row, Circle, Ten, and One.

 

These spiritual disciplines help you grow closer to Jesus and break the power of idols, anything that competes for your heart.

 

Here’s what each one means:

 

Chair — Time with God

• Start each day by meeting with Jesus through prayer and Scripture.

• Prayer has the power to shift circumstances, strengthen our hearts, and silence the lies of the enemy; therefore, pray to God daily and consistently. 

• Read the Bible daily to hear His voice and receive wisdom for your life.

Row — Worship and Teaching

• Make Sunday worship a non-negotiable rhythm. When you show up, you grow.

• The Church is where faith deepens through worship, teaching, and serving others.

 

Circle — Community and Accountability

• Faith grows best in community, not isolation.

• Circles are the people who pray with you, challenge you, and walk beside you.

• Join a Group or Serve Team — that’s where real spiritual friendships form.

 

Ten — Generosity and Trust

• The tithe (10%) is a starting point for a life of generosity.

• Giving first honors God and opens your life to His provision.

 

 

One — Reaching Others

• Faith grows when you share it.

• The “One” represents someone in your life who doesn’t yet know Jesus.

• Pray for them and invest in the relationship.
